    How often do you incorporate dead lifts into your routines? I would like to add these to my weekly workouts. I lift three times a week ( mon ,wend,fri ) then run tues and thurs. Thanks for the replies.

    I throw them in on my shoulder days and I do each routine twice a week.

    Generally I'll do
    Chest
    Bi's/Tri's
    Shoulders/Back
    Rest

    Repeat, and i do cardio every day I work out (usually HIIT).

    I don't do legs because it makes my run times slower.

    have touched them in months. pretty much since I started doing the Olympic lifts

    when I did do them, I usually started out with them every second week on back day

    2-3 times a week, 5x10 at about 60% of my 1 rep max.

    why would you drop deadlifts and do olympic lifts?

    ehh, if I wasn't training for a PL meet and jsut lifted to look good I probably wouldn't do them as often as I do. My lower back is pretty well developed and if I was just training for looks there are a couple of areas that need to be brought up to speed.

    i dont think there is a better overall back exercise personally.. maybe i wouldnt do them every week but id still do them, that and rack pulls for 8+ reps, smokes the upper back/lats

    because I went to full body workouts and have lift for other area's of my body I want to get in, ie bench

    I realize that doing deads will help the oly lifts, but since I'm on a diet, upping my numbers isn't the priority right now

    Every couple of months when my low back does'nt feel like I got hit by a bus...
