I'm really hoping they put him in a mask and under the mask he is scarred to hell BUT judging by Wolverine the movie will be fucking horrible and they'll probably have Deadpool as a smartass mercenary that turns out to be a good guy with no mask or disfigurement.
Reynolds is a huge Deadpool fanboy so I have faith that he'll try to make it as faithful as possible for us
I hope you're right on this....i was so disappointed when i saw what they did to him in wolverine
its made by Fox so it will be a failure
Pretty much. He better at least have the god damn suit
Please don't suck. Please don't suck. Please don't suck. Please don't suck. Please don't suck.
Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape.
Reynolds said his "dream" was to do a 100% accurate deadpool movie. I have faith he wont let fox ruin it
Forgive me. Comics for me is something of an occasional indulgence. I am not really up on Deadpool.
I just got back from the movie. I didn't think it was that great. When the action was going on I enjoyed it, when there was no action I was wishing I was playing video games instead.
But Deadpool just confused the shit out of me.
I thought he was a mouthy funny shmuck that prefered swords but wasn't against using guns, had a healing ability unlike wolverine and was disfigured.
When I saw his mouth sewn shut, spikes out of his hands, adamantium skeleton, doing the teleport and the Cyclops I was very, very confused.
Anyone want to clear this up for me?
He doesn't have the power to get it done right and I can't see any studio banking a movie where there lead man doesn't even show his face.
V for Vendetta.
Then again, you don't cast Hugo Weaving for his face, you cast him for his voice. And you still had Natalie Portman eyecandy.
But that does lead to a question. Would you be ok with a Deadpool movie where everything was done right (ie all the violence, comedy, breaking the 4th wall and so on) except Deadpool had no mask. The rest of his outfit was totally correct, just no mask. Maybe even have him still be scarred, but not totally and maybe just part of his face is covered. How would that fly?
The movie makers, in typical Fox fashion, took a totally fine character, anally raped the fuck outa it, tossed most of the source material out the window and did whatever the fuck they wanted to.
P.S. Deadpool is just fine and dandy with guns.
I left out the part where they're banking on a pretty boy.
Sounds good to me. Just because he's scarred doesn't mean he has to be unrecognizable as a human. Besides, he won't be fighting all the time and in the books when he's screwing around he takes the mask off a lot.
You know, the more I think about that, the more I like it. Sure, in the books you can have him making funny faces through the mask but you can't do that in real life without CG.
The whole first half of the movie could have him not in costume. Beginning he's a bad ass mercenary, dating a hooker named Vanessa (Copycat), finds out he has cancer, break up with her to spare her from his illness and goes to Weapon X because they say they can cure his cancer.
Then he gets the healing factor put in him, but it doesn't work so they keep experimenting on him and the other Weapon X rejects, and they reveal the whole "Dead Pool" game, where they bet on who will die next. Killbrew takes an interest in Wade and is constantly doing experiments on him but Wade wants to die so he's always causing trouble and taunting/teasing the Attendant (Ajax).
Finally the Attendant gets pissed, attacks one of Wades friends, and Wade ends up killing his friend out of mercy, thus being sentenced to death. When they kill him his healing factor finally kicks in, he turns ugly as sin, goes crazy and kills the Attendant and frees everyone there and takes the name Deadpool and starts his merc work with his costume.
At least I wouldn't mind seeing that movie. Loved it in the comics. Don't think the whole Death thing would work to well in the movie but if they could fit it in I'd be cool with it
My biggest gripe about this is that now everyone is a huge fucking deadpool fan.
This is gonna suck when all the assholes read about deadpool on wikipedia and become "experts" on him. And have "been into him for years."
But have never read a single deadpool comic.
That version was revealed to be a Wade Wilson Clone.
When? How did I miss that tidbit
Post credits scene in one of the work prints floating around out of three extra scenes.
Yeah but not everyone got to see that clip. And the only reason they filmed that was because of the horrible, horrible reaction they got from fans over what they did to Deadpool.
So originally, that was supposed to be Deadpool/Wade for the movie, clone was just a way to try to appease the fans.
Hope so, because that deadpool was fucking fail and aids rolled into one.
I'm a bit nervous for this one, tbh. Not that I'm not nervous for all the other ones, either.
Big fail on the Fox Studios part.
