    1) Pay in cash - pick up in a different car
    2) Never return said bricks
    3) Do a night drop off somewhere else

I was recommended to buy garbage cans and fill with water. But I decided against it, not worth it. But I did figure it's about 4 pounds = $1.

It was hard only claiming like 3,000 of my 12,500 pounds.

just got my DLA for $2400, and I'm an E-2. Your receiving unit should brief you when you get there about the travel stuff, Ft. Riley did anyway.

you got too much DLA if you got 2400, maybe all of your moving expenses and the DLA = 2400 but DLA is not that much

Fuck DITY moves. I did a PARTIAL Dity along with a Home-Of-Record-Move, despite coming in over the estimated weight, I didn't make a single dime. No reimbursements, nothing, despite us coming in and them owing us money.

I say don't even do a partial DITY, just take the bare minimal of what you need and have them move it for you. WAY easier. I was only without my stuff for 2-3 days after I arrived.
