most relevant to this i have a circular saw and jigsaw. various handsaws. bunch of wood glue & liquid nails in a calking tube.

i've built a fair amount of things before but usually try to get the most appropriate sizes to minimize cuts.
you could pretty easily do it with a sheet of plywood, but it's kinda annoying to work with if you don't have a table saw or decent jig/tracksaw

Damn, y’all some pros. I just made a basic workbench and now I’m walking around the house acting like I’m Bob Villa. Added a 4ft light and some pegboard today. Need a shop stool.

The ether
picked up a sexy walnut off cut from the local millshop

also picked up a 8/4 8x7 walnut board and a 6/4 x 7 x 9 piece of hard maple yesterday

brought the kiddo to help pick out the lumber
