I'm a stomach breather, just wonder what other people do.
Everyone's stomach expands with their chest when they breath, it just varies how much.
depends on what I'm doing
well I find I breathe almost exclusively with my stomach. If I want to use my chest, I really have to think about it.
all babies only breathe with their stomaches...
It's supposed to change as you become a toddler and start standing up / sitting up more, etc.
Breathe into the belly. I was trained this way...
your not getting the right amount of air if your just breathing with your chest. its too shallow and you shouldnt let your body get used to it.
breathe with the diaphragm
Picked "I dont breathe" because I have no idea how I breathe. I just do.
how the fuck does one train themselves to "breath with the stomach or diaphragm" or what not
better question is who gives a fuck. I just want huge ripped pecs.
no bro, im more worried about breathing properly. if i want huge ripped pecs ill just use synthol and site inject test
I do. I wonder if it's messing up my midsection and making it more bloated. When I flex I get well-defined abs but if I were to completely relax my abs, my stomach looks distended.
youre not worried about dieting to have ripped abs youre worried about your breathing?
no, it's not really my abs I care about. I'm not fat. Just a large midsection when I breathe in deeply.
Helps to breathe into the stomach and tense your abs when lifting heavy because it locks your core in more. It's like giving yourself a fat beer gut without having one. No muscle building or cosmetic reasons for it...just keeps you tighter when squatting/DLing/etc.
Tighten the ab muscles for better stability in big lifts. A tight core will always mean a bigger lift. Even more noticeable when wearing a belt to push against.
just stop and breathe for a second... if your shoulders rise when you breathe, you aren't breathing correctly.
when I'm actually conscious of my breathing it's from the stomach, but when I'm in the gym doing any kind of squats or deads I end up breathing from the chest, which sucks because I get winded more easily that way
squats and deads are when you would want to pull air into your gut
if you're focusing on WHATS BREATHING .. then you're doing it wrong
Yeah I keep my back arched and my gut sticking out, but still my abs are too tense during squats/deads to allow my lungs to expand from there.
