failures, ammo type etc?
if so how do you do it? Paper? Excel?
failure? What's that
you wouldn't know.. most glock users don't live to tell about it hahaha j/k
I use to keep track of how many rounds I've fired in my head but have lost count. The only gun I can say how many rounds I've fired is my XD but that's because I've only taken it to the range twice now.
The only gun I remember how many I've fired is my Rem .308...and that's because I've saved all the empties and haven't started reloading yet. Well, except for the 3 or 4 I shot at hogs and forgot to pick them up
....not too many failures in the bolt action
The only failures I've had all year were with my 10/22. Win Xpert and Remington bulk will NOT run that thing It will also ftf if the mag gets dirty enough, then the rotor will hang up. This thing has run almost 7000 rounds since April, though.
All my other stuff has run flawlessly
I dont really keep track, I police up any brass cased stuff I shot. Failures? usually doenst happen unless I'm using shitty milsurp ammo in my AR15, last failure I had IMI Ammo somehow a .222 got packaged in with 223 almost identicle rounds I never noticed when loading the mag no more IMI ammo for me I had few other problems with it too, my glock, walther, and ak's dont know what failures are.
never had a failure to track
You guys never had a pistol fail to eject?
only my 22lr pistols...
the neos gets a lot of stovepipes
Factory mags, quality ammo, no problems.
got home one time took my SAR1 apart to clean 2 spent cases inside but it still never had a hiccup while i was shooting it at the range
I used to keep track, now I don't really care. I had a few feeding malfunctions when I was breaking in my Les Baer 1911, no problems since then.
I've been able to keep track of how many boxes I've gone through, but that's only because I'm still really new to shooting.
Luckily I haven't had any ftf's or fte's yet, thank you Ruger.
I just have a list in my case of what ammo I don't like. Only thing I don't like so far is Wolf.
Problems or just to dirty for you?
Just too dirty. It shot fine and all but I remember when I was cleaning it after the range it was a lot dirtier.
Ah ok I use wolf in alot of my guns no problems with it either, yeah definently dirtier then most ammo but its cheap so I'll shoot it in any of my guns that aren't a bitch to clean.
No, I don't keep track.
Really? Only problem I've had on my neos was that it didn't like the 550 pack of remington from wal-mart, and wouldn't fire some rounds. Almost like bad spots on the primers, reloaded the rounds in the gun, never had a round that didn't fire the second time. Eventually I switched to cci mini-mags and haven't had a single issue since then, so thats all I put through the neos now.
Other than that, my only issue has been a weak mag spring on my cx4 (mag had been given to me) that cause a few feeding problems. Replaced the spring, never had another problem.
I used to keep track, but kept losing the paper I'd write it down on. My best friend keeps religious count of how many rounds are through each firearm of his ginormous collection. Keeps a logbook in his vault. By ginormous, I mean he's got almost 30 rifles and pistols just in his vault, approximately 8 or 9 of which get shot many times a week/month. He can tell you to the exact round how many rounds have been through each AR upper, and he keeps track of when stoppages happen, how they happen, and what it took to correct them.
I would've done it, but I'm lazy.
Not really. I ahvnt had any problems with my 870, and my gramps Mossburg 42 has had a few FTF with CHEAP remi ammo.
I hate to admit that I've only fired about 300 rounds total through pistols this year
