Gloves are for pussies.
Straps...I'll only use when deadlifting or rack pulling over 500 if my grip fails
Only time I use gloves when I'm doing deads at a gym that has those bars with the grip area rough as hell. Other than that no gloves or straps.
my opinion exactly bout gloves. never used straps tho. might need to try em cuz sometimes my grip does give out
I use straps on a lot of my back day stuff and chalk on most things. Would not use gloves.

Sorry, but my gym just got brand new TKO dumbbells and that shit is rough as HELLLLLLLLLLLLL. So I wear gloves when I use them till they wear down.
I'm thinking about getting straps so I can use double overhand for heavy deads and not worry about uneven back development... but usually I try to alternate which mixed grip I use each set.
Other than that I have no issues with grip except when doing RDL's with 295+ for a lot of reps.
may sound weird but I used to get warts on my palms after I started lifting at the gym, never a single one since I started wearing gloves
I've started using straps on probably 80% of my back work. Doesn't have anything to with grip either. For me it's a lot easier to target the back when I don't have to think about gripping something.
I used to use gloves a while back until my skin on my hands got irritated from the black dye used in the leather. Went to the dermatologist and had to get some betamethasone topical to clear it up.
never used gloves before, will use straps rarely when shrugging more than usual or going really heavy on db rows
dunno about everyone else bet ever since i started wearing gloves my forearms have gotten swole
fuck gloves, i'll use straps on some movements on back day, helps me use more back and less arms in the movements

YOU CAN EVEN USE LATEX IF YOU WANT.
I use straps and gloves when I'm getting jacked and doing 95 pound BB curls in the squat rack.

same here heavy rows and pulldowns i always use straps. I can grip the weight easy, just much easier to target lats/backmuscles with them.
lol at warts from the gym and dermatologist because of gloves.

I just chalk up for heavy deads, the only time I use gloves/straps is for db rows because if I don't use them my callouses tear
