You guys missed the entire point of the film. It’s about generational trauma, love, family, being an Asian American in the USA, nihilism, and more. The multiverse shit is just a way to explore all of that.

As a mother to a daughter (despite not being an immigrant), that damn relationship had me absolutely sobbing by the end. Pulled on feels I didn’t expect at all. 😪

ETA: also daughter of a mother from a family with generational trauma of their own.

it was fine for what it was. Yes almost cried at the end but it was regular cheap sentimentalism
