I need some advice about running on the same day as lifting. Can I run after a lifting session or should I do my running on my non lifting days?

BTW: trying to lose body fat, basically what I'm saying is would it hinder me gaining muscle or vise versa?

    Thanks in advance

Sure, I've been doing cardio after lifting just fine.

Not that I'm an expert, but I do cardio every single day when I get up, then lift in the evening 5 or 6 days a week
(I'm also trying to lose fat, and getting your heartrate up is the best way to do that)

well if you want to lose fat the best thing to do is to do cardio before you lift. When you lift you build up lactic acid in your muscles and doing cardio after lifting will just burn off the lactic acid. It shouldn't hinder muscles gains too much as long as you still have protien in your diet and lift everyday you do cardio.

Do cardio after lifting weights, anyone in the gym can tell you that.

Yes, I'd avoid doing it on leg day though...don't want to overwork the legs

If you are going to do it in the same session as lifting, do it after. Ideally you would do it like stpatty does and put a few hours between them, doing whichever you choose first, but I don't have all day to be driving back and forth to the gym and showering.

I do mine first thing in the morning, then I lift sun, tues, thurs. Plus doing cardio in the AM gives me more energy all day. And my doctor told me not to drink so much damn coffee.
