My dad's "company car" for his current consulting project is a 2001 BMW X5 3.0i It has the Sport Package, leather and about 45,000 miles on it. I was not ipressed by this thing at all. I do think it rides and handles very well, for an SUV. The power and transmission were pretty nice, for an SUV. But the interior fit and finish were horrible. There were several loud rattles from the rear hatch area. The interior trim pieces, especially on the doors, didnt feel like they were attached to each other very well. Defintely not on my personal list of vehicles for which I would pay $45000.
