Deer Attacks Woman Near Kelso http://www.kptv.com/news/14612529/detail.html POSTED: 10:23 pm PST November 15, 2007 KELSO, Wash. -- A deer attacked a woman near Kelso on Tuesday, injuring her and prompting her to issue a warning to the neighborhood. Debbie Forney said she was helping a friend with landscaping work in the Lexington neighborhood when she encountered the deer. She had been told the deer was friendly and that people could pet it. Forney, who said the deer walked up to her “like he was a Bambi-type deer,” began to pet it, but the deer knocked her to the ground and kept her there. “I just kept screaming and I thought when I screamed that it would scare him off, but it didn’t,” Forney said. Some men working nearby heard her screams and came to her rescue. The deer’s horn punctured her arm and she suffered numerous bruises all over her body. Forney said she was covered in mud and blood and that she thought she was going to die before the men showed up. Forney said she understands why wildlife experts say you should never try to tame or pet wild animals. She wanted to warn others not to pet them. “I don’t care if anybody tells you how friendly they are – don’t listen,” Forney said. ---- what a dumb bitch to bad it didnt puncture her uterus instead of her arm.
