I have a concert DVD that I want to transfer the audio files from to my iPod, preferably separated by chapter so I can pick my song. So far I have only figured out how to transfer the whole thing (video + audio) without the chapter separations, so I have to waste battery on video and seek through the whole damn concert just to hear the song I want. any help would be appreciated.

When I want to rip audio from a video I use Cool Edit Pro 2. I believe Audacity has that capability as well. I don't think you can split it up by chapters, but I could be wrong... never tried. Even if you can't you can crop out the different parts and save them as individual files.
