I don't know how to phrase this so I can't Google it. Ok, this just started happening so I must've accidentally changed a setting or something. Say I have a cell in Excel that I have copied (ctrl+c) so it's got the broken line border going around it: Now say I'm doing something on a webpage in Firefox, and I need to copy some info from the website and paste it into Excel. I highlight what I need in Firefox, copy it (ctrl+c), and go paste it into a new cell in Excel. What used to happen was the information was pasting correctly. What is happening now is that it will paste the old information from the Excel cell that I copied from before. In other words, when a cell has been copied in Excel, when I try to copy something in another application, it is NOT overriding what Excel has copied. It even does this when I do a cut as well. I figured surely a "cut" command would override what is currently copied in Excel, but it's not. I know for sure something weird is going on because a few months ago I would watch the dashed-line border of the Excel cell go away when I copied something in another program. Now that no longer happens. How do I fix this? It's driving me fucking nuts.
