Ok, here's what I want to do... I have a menu set up with text as links. What I want to happen is when I mouseover a link, an image that i already have made will fade into view right below it. I've been messing around with code now for about 45 minutes and haven't been able to figure it out. I know how to make the image just appear with no fade, thats no problem... but its the part where i try to make it fade that messes everything up.

here's a link to the fade code that i'm using: http://www.trancetronics.com/cgi/fade.js

If anyone could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Inside that fade.js file that i just linked to you, i have shown how you actually call to it in a page. it just goes into the image tag, td tag or whatever tag you're going to fade.

    thanks in advance

To make your life easier, you could just make the image an animated gif so the image automatically fades in when you do the mouseover on the first image.

The javascript works for me. Make sure you append this to your <img> tag: style="filter:alpha(opacity=10)" onmouseover="doFade(this,100,30,5)" onmouseout="doFade(this,10,50,5)"
