ART Fair trade?

I've been looking to sell a Dual 533 Mhz PowerMac for a while now. I got it for $10 (I've got some pretty sweet hookups haha) and someone on CL e-mailed me offering a trade of a Canon Elan IIe with grip and a 540EZ flash for the computer. I'm definitely interested in the trade. I'm just curious, will the 540EZ flash work with my 40D? I've read that it works fine as a fill flash in manual mode, but then again, I read somewhere that it's for film only. Again, it's the EZ, not EX. What do you guys thing?

thre is a member here, nickrobinson, who uses 3 of the 540ez's on manual mode. not sure if they can go right on the cameras hot shoe though

They wont work in ETTL mode. Digital bodies require the EX flashes for them to be used fully automatically.

Still, for something youve got $10 invested in, Id say its worth it.
