pretty cut and dry. what do you guys use?
I like Azureus, but I haven't really tried any of the other ones out there.
azureus, finally fixed that 100% cpu thing now it works great, doesnt take much ram and keeps my cpu usage down
Azureus has alot of bloat/features that no1 uses... i like ABC cause its small and simple
i use bitcomet, but it really doesnt matter since i have a campus firewall capping my dl speed.
thats what i have been useing for a while.
Azureus! deffinitely the best
while i am here.... my torrent download speeds dropped greatly when i got digital cable(i went from earthlink to roadrunner) is there any way i can fix that?
Azureus > *
and chach your router to fix your DL speeds, make sure the right ports are passed
when i was on road runner, i coudl get torrent to top 400k/s
wow im lucky to get 100ish-k. most are about 30 k
my average torrent downloads are less than 10KB/s some times less than 1KB/s......wtf happened to them they used to be around 50KB/s to 300KB/s
.....are you saying to call my isp to open some ports? if so which ones?
no your ROUTER if you have one
Bit Tornado > *
i have already opened the ports i need to on my router and my downloads still suck...i tried bittornado, abc, and Azureus so its obviously not the programs fault
I use ABC. I only use Azureus to download only certain files in a batch download. I'm at a university where they seem to have choked dl speeds. I only get ~5 kb/s per torrent. The only time I get fast downloads off a torrent is for new naruto episodes (~80kb/s).
The year before when the university didn't choke speeds, I got 500 kb/s sometimes.
wtf is with people chocking download speeds... i seriously think thats what my ISP is doing... or the only other possible thing is some weird virus that only effects my torrent downloads
I'm surprised no one has said BitComet. It's the best by far. I can seed 20 torrents without even touching my cpu load and it perfectly manages priority for torrrents. You can set max limits for it to automatically stop seeding.
It kicks the crap out of everything else I've seen.
Edit: someone did mention it. sorry, but still it kicks ass.
