either will be a great fight
Barnett should get the first shot imo.
He'll probably back down, again.
I concur. Either would be a great fight but Barnett should get the first shot. I'd like to see Arlovski get another fight or two before he's in the ring with Fedor.
in for Arlovski to Spartan kick Fedor through the ropes
but I can dream
Barnett will probably get the fight, although I would prefer to see AA challenge Fedor. He's got his confidence back it appears and a confident, aggressive Arlovski is a danger to anyone.
Just saw this on another forum:
DreamFighters.com has learned that Fedor Emelianenko has just recently made public his next fight with Affliction. Affliction, has yet to confirm, nor the other fighting party, but this comes from the mouth of Fedor Emelianenko.
The next Aflliction event is being prepared for November but we are trying to move it to October so I can have enough time to prepare for my other fight in Dream around December (NYE)''. For his next opponent, Fedor has been clear: It will be Andrei Arlovski. I still don't know who I am goign to fight in Dream ("Probally Mirko Crocop"), but I plan to fight Josh Barnett in March in USA.
Fedor has said:My next opponent is Andrei Arlovski
We will wait for further confirmation from Arlovski's camp and Affliction to make this 100% Official.
I really thing unless AA lands a haymaker he is over matched just about everywhere.
I was fully erect by the time I finished reading the title.
AA has good strikes but I think Fedor is slightly better. AA has a good ground game but Fedors is better (Fedor hands down in Sambo). AA is explosive but so is Fedor. AA's chin is somewhat suspect whereas Fedor has taken many a shot but has yet to lose (fujita hurt him bad but he recovered and tapped him). I just dont see how AA wins this but Im stoked for this fight.
It's really difficult to evaluate fedor's striking. He swarmed crocop, who's a much crisper boxer, and did well (despite getting his nose broken and face marked up) and he just obliterated Sylvia, who's usually tough to trade with.
On the face of is, AA should have an advantage standing in that he's almost as fast and agile, larger and more powerful, and seems like a more technical/crisper boxer.
However Fedor finds a way to make things work for him even with his hands at his waist.
Oh fuck yes, I knew he wanted AA most out of what he saw that night.
This is a rough situation for me as I completely and utterly respect Fedor and his might, but Arlovski has been a favorite of mine for years and I would love to see him win. Not saying that it will happen but if there was a guy to beat Fedor I'd want it to be the Pitbull. Obviously there would be an immediate rematch and Fedor would take it, and then the rubber match. But damn that would be a sweet sight to see
I dont think Arlovski deserves a shot besides his last fight he hasnt looked good in quite a while.
I still think the guy who can beat Fedor is Barnett.
I also notice no real mention of a Randy fight..
fedor is going to take out all of the ex ufc champs
would rather see Fedor vs Randy first. the hype is crazy
Maurice Smith, Ricco Rodiguez, and Frank Mir > Fedor
. Before its irrelevant
What if Randy pulled the upset and unified the UFC HW and WAMMA belts for awhile? That'd be retarded.
It wasn't very relevant to begin with unfortunately.
As long as AA vs Fedor doesn't end in a cut I'll be happy. Fedor takes it 8.5 times out of ten.
From what I read Affliction is looking to do thier next show in Chicago, so if that is the case it would make sense for Arlovski to fight Fedor
Now I read it is set at the Thomas and Mack center in Vegas so i dunno
I so dont want to see arlovski fedor yet
I have read vegas also but the new facility at the Orleans ?
Aparantly they don't know that it's Dana's fucking city.
