    got it off of CL for $300. the local shop wanted $640 for the same lens :rofl:

    i haven't used the 17-50 much at 2.8. i mostly use it outdoors at f/4 or tighter.

    although it does pretty well at 2.8 i think

    this is at 1/50th. who knows if he moved or if i moved at all. looks pretty sharp though

    i THINK i have the one with the built in motor. how can i tell? it makes a super sonic noise when it focuses

    I got if off of CL so it didn't come with a box, but the lens says SP.

    Yeah - the internal motor is loud, but it doesn't bother me.

    Great lens! Stays on my camera most of the time. Your shots do look a bit soft for f3.5 though. You might want to recalibrate it. My shot below was at F4.0
