Film Crue: Civil War. Josh Wheton's contributions to the art of film will be thoroughly evaluated ITT. What side are you on?

Extremely pleased with Copenhagen Cowboy. Probably should have saved some for the weekend but I couldn't help myself. When a Refn drops I mainline it. Like usual I doubt he'll gain many new followers with this. Fans of his work already will likely be pleased though. Another slow burn asking for deliberate patience that rewards delicious reveals in narrative and tone. It does move like lightning compared to Neon Demon, Only God Forgives or Too Old to Die Young however. Pacing finally hitting a sweet spot that marries brisk momentum and his love for excessive breathing.
I finally watched neon demon to prepare for this

Can’t believe dude keeps getting budgets

Tried so hard to finish too old to die young despite the positively glacial pacing but I simply couldn't

Intriguing elements but that was too much for me

Honestly I wasn’t as impressed by neon demons visuals

It certainly wasn’t bad tho

Didn't even like the drop the mic desert walk away ending credits music video with the glittery splash screen afterwards? :mamoru:

Btw @Sphygmo I watched Bergman Island last night and I think you'd really like it if you haven't seen. Proper respect.

You wanna do a trade for in the bedroom? Mayhaps something on mubi so I could get a lil more use out of it :x:
Yeah that sounds good. How about Vortex? The latest Noé starring an aging Dario Argento who is finding trouble taking care of his wife's dementia. Probably his most mature work yet.

Rewatching the wire for the first time, couldn't believe the HD remaster dropped 9 years ago when I checked. That's how long I've been meaning to rewatch

Such an incredible rewatch already, back on s1 e8
