I think i just came a little bit
Nice. I'm guessing .308 instead of .30-'06? and are you going to finish it in a different color? I'm also guessing no happy switch...
Looks like a good build.
I have a crank kit which makes it faster than a happy switch!
and its 308 but I have an 8mm barrel and 10,000 rounds of 8mm ready to go!
I now need a tripod!
looks good post more pics when you get her setup on a tripod and/or take her to the range.
That looks good!
Last I heard, you were having problems with it. Glad everything worked out for you.
So, when are we going to the range
Soon. We will prob have to go to the outdoor range in dalton and I dont have a sat off for a LOOONG time
link to crank kit?
glad to see it finally came together for ya!
We can go to the Chestnut Mountain range by Calhoun. The ranger might shit a brick thinking it's full auto, but it would be fun until he shows up...
how far is that ?
so did you still use a press for the rivets or did you see the light and use a hammer?
If you dont mind me asking, what did it cost when all was said and done?
holy shit that thing is sexy. got a list of everything used?
I have no idea.. Lets add it up
Parts Kit $299+29 for shipping
Right Side plate $120
Internals Machined $200
Rivet set $17.. but I needed 2 bc I fucked up
Trunnion- $150 (not normally needed)
Links $20 /100 but you can get cheaper
308 ammo. 140rounds for $55.
So $928 out the door but if you dont fuck as much it can be done short of $800!
I used a hammer
An hour north from my place in Acworth. 6 miles off Exit 320 on I75.
Isnt that johns creek?
That's the common misnomer.
The range is in the John's Mountain WMA. However, the range is run by the National Forest, they call it the Chestnut Mountain Shooting Range.
The National Forest is in charge of the land and facilities, the GA state WMA is in charge of all the animals.
Any info you know about it?
where'd you get the side plate?
All you need is 5 drill bits to finish it and theres a guy selling those with the rivets
Do you have any more pictures, or a video.
where did you get the crank kit? i used to have the website, but i can't find it now.
looks good though, gonna park it? i still havent taken pics of mine after i parked it
Why am I not suprised
