no i was lucky cause he is not in texas. i have heard from others though...
ya i started watching alot of anime about a year ago too early for a anime con?
dont listen to these cynics
check it out and make up your own mind
It really truly depends upon how well your first Anime Con goes; if you have a good experience you'll enjoy them. If you have a bad experience you'll ahte them and never go to one ever again.
Right now expect to see at least one Man Faye and one Sailor Bubba; they're always at every con; deal with it and use eye bleach accordingly.
My first con was (what was known then as) Anime Reactor. It was small but very 'ghetto'-like; lots of people getting drunk and/or stoned during the night hours, crowded rooms, especially the game room. It's not that it smelled so much that you ATE the grungy stench everyone produced while trying to bust out their best moves. It didn't help that the room's dimensions were 12' x 24' with no ventilation besides the over-used AC unit.
But not all cons are like that; most large cons are well-organized, staff well and (generally) have good people attending it. I mainly go to Acen (Anime central) now, considering Reactor hasn't changed at all over the last 3 years. And there are several small cons (Anime Iowa, for example) that are quite enjoyable and nothing like the crappy small cons or the large-scale cons.
It's really up to how much of a good time you have there, especially if you have friends that will go with you and/or if you make friends at the con.
its true, although ive never been to one. its not like youre not going to enjoy it but just be prepared for a culture shock cause its straight up GEEKS
what if he himself is a "stright up GEEKS"
i guess i can say im a "straight up GEEKS" if a geek is a person who knows alot about computers watchs anime and plays video games?
I saw man faye at AX
thats a person who enjoys anime and computers as a hobby
straight up GEEKS would probably be more along the lines of a person immersing themselves into the world of anime and such, when the point of anime hobbies overcomes the value of everyday life.
and there are people liek that.
and youre gonna be around them thats all im trying to get at
