Idk, the best thing for my back was ditching the shitty memory foam top mattress and getting a medium-firm mattress without the soft stuff on top. Ymmv.

Yah I don't think that's the problem. Even when I saw my gyno last she said my muscles inside were tight and I should see a massage therapist that specializes in woman's health.

Oh, I had that after my last kid. You don't have the separated ab muscles, do you (I forget what that's called)? Otherwise, that PT had me do kiegels. (I'm not sure if I spelled that right, but its the Monday after spring-forward time change, so I'm just going with that.)

Ohhh no nothing like that. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and I triggered a positive on my rheumatoid factor, meaning I have inflammation somehow. Specialist hopefully will diagnose me with something or at least do more tests.

I have issues with my abs too where they will hurt if I put too much pressure on them, sounds dumb but they will ache if say my husband lays on me watching TV.

Oh, yikes. I hope they can get you some relief.

I've lost so much strength. :wtc:

I lost weight so fast it was inevitable I would lose muscle mass and strength but holy fuck. I'm doing maybe 50% in pounds what I was doing 6 years ago when I was still lifting. Before that I'd gone 10+ years without lifting and max bench only dropped from 285 to 210. I don't think I could put up 135 right now. :sad2:

Going to be a long road back.

It's surprising how fast it comes back, especially if you have already been fit before, even if you take a long time off. It also helps because you have probably developed proper form from your years training, which is HUGE! Noobs who don't use good form take much longer to develop than someone who knows what's up. It's just a grind you gotta get into and before you know it you'll be back.

My wife would kill me for this, but I bought her a wand they sell for massaging the pelvic muscles. I think it's even called that. But she says it helps. Might be worth a shot. Guess it works differently then the normal toys.

Hell ya, I'm in—male body privilege.

One of the small things that used to drive me nuts with my ex is that she absolutely refused to do any sort of lifting because she was worried that she would walk into the gym skinny, then after lifting a few weights she would walk out looking super buff and "manly looking". It completely minimizes all the effort it takes to gain muscle. She wasn't lazy so that wasn't it, she would hike for days, run, etc, she just thought it was really as simple as going to the gym for like a week to come out looking like The Incredible Hulk, hah.

I had a personal trainer that told me this type of thinking is incredibly common and he fights it all the time.

I’m in the same boat. We may not get back to our strongest at the moment I’m more interested in getting some of my mobility and flexibility back anyway.

How many crunches should a motherfucker do? Are we supposed to do them every day? I've never really needed to do them because I've always had a naturally slim/athletic build but I think it's time to start.

I rarely do crunches. IIRC planks are safer for your back and have similar benefits.

Percussion gun and heat, dry needling, and soft touch massage with stretching. Usually a couple sessions with all 3 will set me straight for a couple months

Down 26lbs so far as of this past Monday. Lifting is still getting to me, even at 3 times a week. I just can't recover fast enough. My damn forearms and traps stay sore. Diet has been ok. Had 3 cheat days/meals since starting. Hand rolls with nori and peanut butter powder are 2 things I've added to my overall diet menu. You can throw all sorts of stuff into a hand roll, take it on the go, and eat anywhere with ease, plus they are quick. Peanut butter powder as a snack replacement for peanut butter seems to be working out and cutting down on overall calories thru each week. Got a bad habit of smashing on peanut butter as a snack, a few tablespoons here and there were adding up quick, lol.
