Great fucking movie watched it yesterday on base. Never got around to seeing it in theaters. My only complaint was why was there only one Sailor shown throughout the movie ?. They did travel on Navy ships :hsugh: . I thought that was kind of odd.

Flags of our Father was definitely better than the Marine  .

The Marine was just an incredibly stupid movie.

I didn't like Flags of our Fathers either. But at least I didn't feel like a complete dumbass for buying the ticket like I did when I went to see The Marine.

i feel asleep during FOOF, storyline could've been more attentive and captivating...but it failed to do so imo. As for the Marine, ha, I didn't even know that was a movie til I saw the poster at the theatre awhile back.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the length of it. 2hr 12mins :eek5:.

I might loan you my copy when I'm done with it. I just started it.

To answer the sailor question: the person who wrote the book was the son of Navy Corpsman John Bradly who participated in the flag raising.
