damn sorry to hear that bro, i went down myself 2 days ago, busted my front fairings
luckily you're ok enough to post on OT.
karma's a bitch, aint it? maybe that will knock you off your high horse for good.
What does Wolf's crash have to do with what he (and alot of other people) have been preaching to newbies?
I do know everything. In fact, I'm so good, that I can foresee when other vehicles will come out from between stopped cars. I can also bend the laws of physics to allow my motorcycle to come to a full stop from 30mph in less than 10 feet. That's how goddamn good I am.
and none of that helped you out.
well, at least you TALK a good one.
because he doesnt wait for a newbie declaration... he jumps on anyone, be it a newb or someone who has been riding for years.
anytime someone posts a "gimme your input" type of post, he automatically jumps to the conclusion that they're a newb. in more than a few cases, they weren't, but it's not their responsibility to have to prove themselves.
there's a fine line between being insightful and arrogant.
When someone comes on asking which bike to get and doesn't mention what they currently ride, it's a pretty good indication they are new riders. I've been on various sportbike message boards for years. I've seen the same question asked dozens of times, 9/10 it's a 17-21 year old whose friend just bought a gixxer and he can't decide whether to get a gixxer or an R6. Yes, it's stereotyping, but all stereotypes have a basis in reality.
And yes, I am arrogant.
I hope you get everything fixed quickly. Ride safe!
I saw a link to the post on fireblades.org and I didn't even realize it was you!
Glad you are ok and hope you get it repaired ASAP!
I see what you are saying but the fact is this board has a lot of stupid people who just want to jump on the sportbike bandwagon because they watched Biker Boyz or Torque. Those are the people that, IMHO, need to be "jumped on".
But it still really doesn't having anything to do with his accident...
I think this is the first time I've been crossposted.
Sorry to hear about your bike. I'm glad that you were able to walk away from this.
