What do you usually throw in your cart when you go shopping??? ABout how much do you spend????
I eat clean six times per day, and I spend ~$60 per week at the grocery store. The trick for me is to cut all drinks (just drink water and milk), cut all snacks (only keep healthy ones like natty PB), and cut as much processed stuff as possible. I buy a lot of bagged chicken breasts for dinners, whole grain pasta, frozen veggies, etc. For lunch I stick to tuna, fat free cottage cheese, and fat free yogurt. Breakfast is old fashioned oatmeal mixed with protein powder and milk, and also a banana. Snacks include HB eggs (toss the yolks if you can), fish oil pills, and the natty PB.
Note : I'm not counting the cost of protein powder here, also I usually go out to eat once a week as well (I like Chipotle because you can eat healthy there if you do it right).
$50-$80 / week.
orange chicken (trader joes)
those are mostly the main items i have to stock up every week on. otherwise i buy some fish, steak, etc.
also spend like $20-30 on lunch every week (eat out)
oh and ft myers
Eggs and egg whites
Whatever accessories/seasings i need for the stuff I want to cook: marinara sauce, cheeses, salsa, etc. I'm currently eating a ton of half-assed chicken parmesan: all natural marinara sauce and mozzarella on chicken breast. It's pretty damn tasty.
Costs me about $50-60/week.
I went grocery shopping yesterday.

low-fat strawberry yogurt
low-fat plain cottage cheese

Beef (steak, mostly lean)

Chunky Peanut Butter
Sugarless water mixes from Walmart
Every 2 weeks, $100 - $150ish.
Eggs (5 dozen from costco)

i spend about $100 a week
I think I am spending about the same on the same items listed, but I also but other crap like cookies and chips and other snacks for my daughter, which makes it harder on my not to cheat. So far this past 6 months I am lost 35lbs, so just looking if I am buying the right kind of foods
From Fort Myers?????
stop buying junk food for your daughter, she doesn't need it either.
she is not over weight or anything, and she is only 4
4 yr olds dont need junk food
keep them healthy early...veggies and fruits, whole grains.
childhood obesity ftl
she eats veggies and fruits more than me lol. But from time to time, she wants like oreo's or pop tarts when we all go shopping
i think there's a thread like this once a week.
sorry, searched but really didnt find anything helpful
beef, chicken, turkey breast, tuna, brown rice, yams, oats, organic lettuce, organic greek yogurt, blueberries, bananas, apples, spinach, asparagus, low fat string cheese, american cheese, eggs, egg whites, peanut butter, low carb english muffins, milk etc
I also have a freezer stocked with 50+lbs of organic grass fed beef.
keeping her fat is daddy's way of making sure she doesn't turn into some super hot slampig, obesity is a rape shield
no it aint
Fresh Salmon Steaks
Fresh Tuna Steaks
Boneless, skinless, thin cut chicken breasts
2 lbs ground turkey
Whole grain pasta, bread, bagels
low fat shredded cheese
bananas, strawberries, raspberries, red delicious apples
celery, peppers, onions, garlic, carrots
fat free yogurt
fat free cottage cheese
I usually spend about $80 per week but at least 25% of that are those first three items I listed. I love salmon and tuna steaks so I pay a little more even if they're not on sale.
I seriously heard somewhere that victims of childhood sexual abuse turn to overeating as a subconcious way to make themselves unattractive and less likely for future attacks.
My shopping cart is full of crisco and porkchop sandwiches
the 2.5 dozen egg carton, lotta chicken, hot sauce, salad mix, brown rice, steak, and veggies.
