deads are far from essential
same with squatting
(strictly from a bb perspective)
I don't know any BIG bb's that do not do squats or deads.
essential no... for faster gains thanks to the stress of a full body work out... its more beneficial then anything else and will release most growth hormone which is stored in your ass muscle, biggest one in your body... heh look at ronnie coleman, he was a PL before, did like 700 @ 198lb, and there is that famous vid of him doing 800x2 just before comp.
instead of tuna/rice 2 times a day can I eat a sandwich with multi whole grain bread?
deads, yeah, I could agree with you depending on your genetics, but squats I think are essential. You aren't gonna get big ass legs just doing leg press and leg extensions.
I think its a good idea to get a base level of deadlifting/squatting in. Maybe a few hard years of it, get big legs/back with them. WHen you stop, you will keep most if not all that mass. I havent deadlifted since my meet and have the same size everything except penis. I go through phases of 1+ years of no DL at all, makes no diff for me it seems.
there was a pro bodybuilder who just recently started doing deads, dexter jackson or something like that. im not sure i'll be able to do heavy ass squats or deads ever again because of surgeries, im not looking to be a pro bodybuilder anyways
my face exactly when i read that
Would it be fine if I moved Arm Day to Sunday?
Does it even matter?
What volume of egg whites are you guys using for breakfast? Stupid question, I know.
the carton should tell you a conversion rate...at least they did the last time i bought them...
Thinking about trying this routine, but I haven't had a gym membership since my gym closed down and instead have been working out from home.
At home I have a power rack with lat pulldown and low pulley, barbells, dumbells, bench which can incline/decline, pullup bar, dip bar. Most things in the routine I have the equipment to do. It's mostly the leg day which is a problem - i can't do leg presses or leg extensions. Should I just do more squats or lunges or something?
Stupid question, on fridays are you supposed to do all 10 exercises? or is Tris/Bis meant to do on different days?
Its arm day, so you work the diff muscles on the arms. Tri/Bi/Shoulders
1/4 cup is usually 2 egg whites
I only have free weights and such, no machines. Doing this at home.
The rest all being the same, can anybody suggest substitutes for these exercises?
u could do pullups and db rows for back, and do like a db tri extension
nvm those are already in addition to pullups and rows
I can't search because I'm poor.
What's the deal with cutting out 4 egg yolks? I'd rather just eat all 6 of em whole, more calories = better AFAIK. I guess eating healthier factors into it there I don't like to waste food tho.
Less fat per serving. Are you that dumb?
Yeah sometimes dumb stuff comes out of my mouth I don't know why.
Still doing this routine with some minor adjustments and getting great results.
Huge props to TS
That said, two things I'm wondering....
-Any recommendations for a saturday or sunday routine? Ive been working on areas that i feel need more work on those days (generally legs or chest)
-Any good chest workouts that i can swap into the routine?
Canned tuna on a whole has .383ppm (Parts Per Million) of mercury. Canned salmon has a level of mercury that is undetectable from the samples measured in 2002 to 2004, so I'll be finishing off my last 3 cans of Tuna and buying canned salmon instead, it's got Omega-3's for your heart as well.
I started following this routine to the T from monday-tuesday. I did a giant set with the cable flyes, starting with those. Did 3 sets of 15, then 1 set of 31 then another set of 30 it was fun
I've always done a 5x5 + variations, but I get minor injuries that set me back all the time. I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels at this point and wanted to try a hypertrophy rather than strength routine. I work out at home, so all I have access to is a power rack, a bench, BBs, DBs, and bands. Since I have no machines, what do you think of these movements for...
Walking lunges/bulgarian split squat
BOBB row/DB row
Band assisted pullups
Do you think these are decent replacements? Too taxing? In any case, I guess I'll find out next week...
