I've been trying to sell this for a while, so I might as well try to here. I am offering for sale a WW2 German Heeresmodelle Flare Pistol, also know as the Heeres-Leuchtpistole. This is a 26.5mm break open flare pistol designed by Fritz Walther in 1930. This specimen is marked "duv 42", which means it was manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik in 1942, thier first year of production. (Guns of the Reich, by George Markham, page 72). This particular Signal Pistol retains at least 80% of it's original black finish, and is a zinc framed model. There is some slight rust on the hammer and firing pin (easy to take care of, I just haven't had the time), and the lanyard loop is gone. It is also marked with 6 Nazi Eagle proofs,4 of which have the inspection number 214 underneath. It is serial number 4570. I.O. Inc. is selling the more common POST-WAR Walther made LP's for with Steel or Aluminum frames for $300 and $200 respectively. This is a much less common manufacturer with a Zinc frame. I am asking $200 +shipping for this fine piece of German WW2 history. Also, trades will be considered.
