I got my Virginia personal property tax bill in the mail.

They valued my 2005 Ford at $10k less than what I paid for it last spring.

They valued my 2004 Mini at $4K MORE than what I paid for it last spring.

They even value vehicles by the lowest trim line of each vehicle, so the Mini's value surprises the hell out of me.

That is one of the reasons that my company just got rid of all Ford cars/trucks and got Honda's

When my dad ordered the volvo XC90 at £44k ($80k), he could have sold it a week before we got it for an extra 4k ($6k) :hs:

Fuckers still worth quite a bit of money.

The notion of taxing property seems so... absurd to me.

You bought a used, limited-run car.
I bought a new, generic hog of a truck.
