So it finally happened, FOX finally dropped the hammer on Joss' latest ingenues. I personally can't say I'm surprised, I gave the first season a shot, but found the narrative would wander wildly all over the place, but still somehow manage to find itself back in the same EXACT place at he end of the day.

I had some hope for the show with the season ender, There was Echo all powered up, and I thought that now Joss was gonna let Echo open a can of whoop-ass on Alpha AND the Dollhouse.

But there was Eliza at the end of the episode back in that stupid chair, and I gave up on Dollhouse.

So does anyone else care that the show was cancelled? Or do you think it was a fitting end to his latest opus?

At least it ran longer than Firefly, right?

It had it coming. For the most part, the show was not good at all. The first season was starting to get decent near the end but S2 went back top the same old bullshit. Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles should have been renewed instead of Dollhouse, but Whedonites are quite vocal about their lord and savior's work.

It was not nearly as good as Buffy or Firefly, but still better then most of the other crap on TV these days. The biggest flaw was the "job of the week" type of pacing and lack of an overall story.

Just another in a long line of casualties to the Friday night death slot. You would think Fox would learn and put their sci fi shows on another night by now.

fox has dropped the ball on this SUPERIOR series ..... the way it handled storylines was great and did it in a different way, and there was a lot left in the characters!

pity viewers are so fickle, almost seems like a waste to me :wtc:

Saw this coming. The show has failed to delivery on almost every episode this season. The last episode was the only great one of the season. The reason likely being because Dushku had only 2-3 minutes of air time.

it could have been good but it was full of failure and shitty characters. i'm mostly a fan of whedon's shit, but this was just that.... shit. dushku is hot and i love to watch her go, but i could only stomach so much of it.

Dollhouse was fucking trash. Not even Dushku's pretty little ass could help that piece of fucking garbage.

I for one am not going to watch a single new episode since the announcement. Not worth my time anymore.

I like Dollhouse, but I'm not surprised in the least. I don't know why Joss keeps going with Fox after what they did to Firefly. Dollhouse would do better on SyFy and I hope they find a way to pick it up.

Yeah. :hs: Dollhouse is better than most SyFy shows though so it would actually be an improvement to that channel. :mamoru:

I have to say that it's ironic that the show is finally starting to hit it's stride now that it's been canceled. Too much time spent in the second season with bullshit episodes that have nothing to do with the main plot, and now they are scrambling to close up all loose ties. Oh well. Maybe Joss should try something different for a while :mamoru: I think he lost whatever magic he had while working on Firefly a while ago.

It was a fun show while it lasted.

Just one more reason I won't be starting any "new" shows until it's clear they're remaining on the air. The past four shows I've enjoyed watching have been cancelled. Half of them were on Fox.
