GOD DAMN IT.
I don't want to pay transfer fees!
Move to TX.
This would be a sweet deal if it was local
Oh well, this forces me not to spend more on gun stuff this year.
I'll see if anyone I know needs this stuff.
any kind of deal online is negated by CA transfer fees
how much are the fees over there?
at the two shops in my town:
1) $75 + $25 DROS
2) $100 + $25 DROS
there's a place about ~15 mins south of SF that will do it for $45 + $25 dros, thats about the cheapest that i know.
so all those great $89 stripped lower deals suddenly turn into a $160-$200 lower waste of time/money/life
Averages around $75 here too, plus $25 and some fucks even go as far as to add tax?
ive never seen tax added on the transfer fee, that is some seriously shady shit.
There was a store up north from me that was supposedly charging you tax on an assumed value of the item. Lots of shady FFL's popping up as of late; I guess everyone is trying to get in on a quick buck.
on Halloween of 08 (Friday before election day) i was able to scoop up some lowers that the shop south of SF had in stock. got 3 doublestar's for $120 each. they had 6 in stock had i known the shitstorm that was going to ensure the following Tuesday i would have bought all 6.
someone buy my damn lower
spike's has lowers for $89, LPKs for $90 installed..
that's $1 cheaper....
Not that shady actually.
Some dealers opt to charge the tax, others leave it to you to claim on your taxes at the end of the year.
Either way, our bankrupt government wants its money.
brand new vs used? (second hand at least, )
it's not used at all, it's never even had an upper mounted to it.
And WTF, this is a for sale thread and you're posting competing shit for people to buy? Thanks...
Place in Sonora does it for $75 flat. Used to be $50, though, including DROS. Which isn't that great, but compared to the others, it's not bad, and it's even cheaper after the cost of fuel.
