best dvd movei backup software, period.
even burns for you now.
I guess I need to get a DVD burner
I spy a LiteOn 8/4/32 for $135
What new features are actually useful?
I was playing around with it and it seems like the same thing, only different. Can you copy working menus with "re-author"?
get the pioneer from CompUSA. does every format, and is cheap.
dvd shrink is a NO brainer. mucho better than that lame dvdcopyxpress shit ... you don't even get the extras with that.
i have no idea.
i originally used it when it was 1.x ... very little features, but was nice to be able to keep the extras. but you had to burn with another program.
now it does everything automatically, and burns for you. THAT is nice.
ummm.... I use dvdxcopy. and it does get all the extras, it's an exact dupe. (abeit compressed)
The Pioneer won't burn 8x for $135
link to dl?
interesting. mine is an old copy.
the newer versions of dvdxcopy say "disable all internet access before using", when trying out a 'hacked' copy.
that scared me, so i never upgraded.
When DVDShrink allows you to omit extras completely and copy the movie only WITH WORKING MENUS, I'll be happy. There's nothing worse than having to compress a movie to 80% becuase there are four gigs of extras you have to compress into still frames
I thought I found the latest version of 3.1 but it still says no burn engine? Wassup?
i have no idea what you're talking about.
Instead of having to compress extras, I wish I could just leave them out. That way I won't have to compress the main movie as much
The one I've got doesnt. Either that or I'm a complete fucking idiot. How big was the download size? Where'd you find it?
Downloaded size of the 3.1 I've got was only like 700k.
Hrmm... Maybe I'll have to use this instead of DVD X Copy.
3.1 looks like it burns for you, but you need Nero 5 or 6 installed for it uses THAt as the burn engine.
AC... rip the CYE set for me and mail it
Ahhh, Thanks Tommy, That makes sense.
yeah I wouldn't use that built in burning engine anyway... I don't trust Nero with burning my movies
I use CopyToDVD... works flawlessly everytime unlike Nero
DVD Shrink works well for me.
And for what I read, Nero 5.5.10 is better than Nero 6. It's less buggy or some shit. so if you don't have it yet, look for it.
