how long is a d700 shutter supposed to last?
something like 150,000 actuations
good thing they are not too expensive to repalce
You brokeded it?
I heard they break off at exactly 150,000. No more, no less.
no, not broken, just curious when I should expect it to break
They're rated to about 150,000...but it doesn't mean it will make it there.
hell it could break the next time you press the shutter, or it could live well past 400k....just luck of the draw
Yep, it could break within first time using the camera or it could last forever.
I sold a 5D that had anywhere between 300,000-350,000 clicks by trying to count the pictures taken with it. And the guy I sold it to, is still using it today
The 5D2 we have right now, we bought it in the begging of this year, and I just did a quick count of the pics, its around 250,000.
moar burstin' less talkin
Yeah, the shutter will last 150,000 but the CPU board will fry at 30K apparently. Just got mine back a couple of weeks ago.
Did you overclock the CPU on your D700?
i just turned over 20k on mine the other day.
