Make 1100 appointment
don't get seen until 1135
doctors and dentists are worthless as well....
made an appointment for 10am, didn't get seen till 11:15
I am going to rape this faggot
screen on my mbp started to separate from the shell - so I take it to get fixes
"it looks like the body and shell of your mbp is warping, this is accidental damage - we can fix it for $800"
HOW CAN IT BE A FUCKING ACCIDENT IF IT SITS ON MY FUCKING DESK AT ALL TIMES FAGGOTS.
They don't know where it sits. They can only go by what they see. I'm sure plenty of people come in with issues and say it has never left a certain area. If it's warping, then what else could have caused it?
What's the deal with OT'ers always using the word faggot? Grow the fuck up.
Oh, and take it to a different apple store, you might have better luck. And try not to act like an OT'er when you get there or they'll shaft you again. (which I kind of hope they do with an outlook on life like yours)
i mean, it would be one thing if the machine looked like i threw it down a flight of stairs, it was scratched to hell and massive dents
but really, it is flawless on the outside.
i mean lets be honest, MacBook/Pro's are notorious for overheating - it isn't out of the question it could warp aluminum
i was able to ask for a manager and one came over and OK'd it, but they were all like "the service center might deny it"
of course, they can't just replace a part anymore, they have to replace the entire assembly
maybe the GB is like Insurance Companies, they will try to deny claims at least the first time to see if people cave and don't fight it.
But I'd be fucked though, if they could deny me getting the screen fixed for this, it means that they could deny anything wrong with my MBP. Which would be a crock of shit.
They get hot, but that won't cause the case to warp.
But I mean how on earth could i bend and warp the case, with no physical damage. I mean it isn't really warped, but the part with the screen looks like you put it in a vice and just slightly tightened it. Nothing more really.
I really can't wrap my head around it.
Do you ever close your laptop and put something on top of it? Could it be pressure from something?
nope, never. it is the same way on both sides oddly, same warping on both sides
i have found that if you put in a call to apple service, talk to them and describe your situation, that works best. they record all the information and then you reserve a spot at the genius bar, walk right in, tell them what you told them before, and they take the recommendation of the phone service and hook you up.
but yah they suck for the most part
see all the computers in the store... pick one...
or shock of all shocks, ask someone in an apple shirt
I have a feeling that people that have this kind of experience at the Genius Bar, probably do act like OT'ers/douche bags.
I just had my '06 Macbook get the palmrest/kb replaced due to it cracking again. It is out of warranty and I have no AppleCare on it.
I'm currently in Little Rock, and the nearest Apple Store is in Memphis, 2 1/2 hrs away. I called ahead to check if they had the part in stock and if they could repair it that same day. It was early Friday but I was told that they didn't have any more appointments available. I asked to be put on standby and I would show up anyways. When I got to the Apple Store in Memphis, I was told I would have to wait at least 2 hrs, I agreed. 15 mins later they called me up, Genius looked at my MacBook, said he could have it repaired in 30-40 mins.
And before I get called a liar or criminal by that fag(you know who you are), I do have a receipt with me now, but I still won't post it.
I'm damn near 100% sure that it is because they act like they're owed everything. My G5 had an issue with the cooling system, which was a known issue, and out of warranty they replaced it. This I expected since it was a known issue, however, they went ahead and replaced both processors, my case and my motherboard "just incase". I paid absolutely nothing.
