I've been training for about 4 months at a MMA gym and yesterday I held thai pads for a guy who was 200 pounds and about 5'11''-6'. Anytime i've held pads for anyone i've never felt pain but this guy swing kicks were so hard they were penetrating the pads, i didnt want to be a wuss so i kept on holding the pads despite the pain. I guess the adrenaline and endorphines helped fight away the majority of the pain. Anyway this morning i woke up and my fore arms are bruised to shit. I dont know how much your body adapts to this kinda stuff but can i take enough damage over a long time that my body doesnt bruise or become sore? I know bones re-calcify to become stronger if there are micro cracks but i dont know about the fleshy meaty parts of my forearms. If not physically, i hope mentally i can take more pain.
