I use to work out a lot and got pretty big (190 lean). i took in a lot of protein along with just crap like fast food. i have a high metabolism. i stop working out for 2+ years now and got tiny (140 lean).. mainly because i got depressed, dranked a lot, drug usage, and only ate like once or dont eat at all.. i have a very small appetite. Im starting to think that you can get big without excessive protein, just eating a lot in general will do the job for some gifted people like me. If you think about it, prisoners get big in jail and all they eat is starch and very little protein. So starting next week, im going to start working out and dieting without taking a buttload of protein and see how it goes. Mainly just rice, pasta,beans, potatoes, greens ofcourse, eggs, sausage, fat ground beef, hamburgers, salami, chicken breast (just because its cheap as hell), and fast food at least once a day.. Nothing fansy like protein shakes, lean steaks, tuna, meat only meals, and such.. just like normal persons diet but 4-5x a day. ibgetfatandregretit cliff: use to be hella buff off protein, think protein is not that important, going on a normal person diet with just normal food, work out, see where it goes.
