Are you allowed to wear a judo cut gi for NAGA?
judo gi crew HOLLA
There's no strict gi stuff for NAGA like at worlds or something. Only once have I made a guy change gis.

She wanted to see him naked
guy was probably brazilian
At worlds they check you to make sure there's a certain slack with a measure device, collar's a certain thickness, etc. I saw a guy who should be a A3 wearing an A1 on my mat. Gi barely came down below his elbows and knees.
hillary...you reffing at the new england event?
Nope. All the refs are located there so they don't bother bringing me in.
we do these checks in judo after registration when mat calls happen. if you are not at wrist bone and ankle joint with gi sleeves/feet you will be DQ'd.
You can trick or cheat this by rolling your shoulders backwards and pulling your sleeves down with your hands but experienced old japanese referees will tug your sleeves and some even check the shoulder alignment.
Although fighting guys with judo gis is tougher, cause they have a lot more slack in their sleeves, that gives them more mobility, esp if you try and play open guard.
I like my floppy loose open judo sleeves. yeah they are easier to grab and pocket grip but also they give me much more versatility with sleeve chokes (which I am loving a lot these days)
