what's a good tripod that isn't going to break the bank?
Bogen 3001 + Bogen 486 head
Sweet...so this then? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...188&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation
Thanks for the recommendation...
I was wondering the same thing. Unfortunatly being the only person on OT that makes a normal salary, my definition of "not break the bank" is 50 bucks or so.
How about instead of good tripod, we say decent tripod.
theres been about 3 threads about this over the last page or two.
Damn, sorry to bring an old thread up...was gonna FINALLY buy this combo, but it doesn't exist anymore..lol - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...188&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation
buy the same parts seperatly
Gitzo G2220. i didn't like the clamps on the legs of the manfrotto
i have a Bogen 3021n
with a 3047 bogen 3 way head
got it for $100 off craigs list
3001N crew, least expensive sticks that are worth a crap IMO.
3001 is still good
3021 is also good
My wife just got this one for me for $61.
I'll post some pics a little later. Pretty solid for what it is.
Edit, here are some quick pics of it:
Damn, looks like a steal for the price.
Plus the $21 shipping
But still, it's 100% better than the cheap pos that I had.
I have a VERY cheap one from Best Buy. Any long exposure shots in a 1 MPH wind and they were blurred.
good set of legs will last a decade or more. just save up another month if you cant swing it this month.
whats the point of needing to use a tripod and then using one that isn't steady.
waste of time.
Gitzo or go home
