I had one but it's already closed otherwise I would close it and send them a letter stating why. That's just fucking retarded...
So Citi is using it's own interpretation of the law?
Thats one the most assbackward interpretations of firearm sales law I have ever seen.
CDNN were dicks to me when I bought my P229R DAK last month. First I bought a used one for $xxx. There was only a $130 price difference for a new one with night sights so I call back the same day and got it changed. When I received it, it didnt come with night sights and I call back to the guy who did the order for me. He apologized and said to send it back and they would put night sights on. I got to his manager who was gonna get my info and then he said his sales guy said no such thing and there was a communication error and to either keep it or send it back, no other options.
So CDNN cant use Citi cards anymore? The letter is addressed to them.
CREDIT CARD PROCESSING COMPANY REJECTS FIREARMS INDUSTRY
REFUSES TO PROCESS TRANSACTIONS . . . Citi Merchant Services and First Data Corp. are refusing to process any transactions between federally licensed firearms retailers, distributors and manufacturers -- a move which will severely limit available inventory of firearms and ammunition to military, law enforcement and law-abiding Americans.
The first company to be affected by this decision appears to be firearms distributor CDNN Sports Inc.
"We were contacted recently by First Data/Citi Merchant Services by a June Rivera-Mantilla stating that we were terminated and funds were being seized for selling firearms in a non-face-to-face transaction," said Charlie Crawford, president of CDNN Sports Inc. "Although perfectly legal, we were also informed that no transactions would be processed in the future, even for non-firearms. I find this very frightening."
To voice your concern to Citi Merchant Services and First Data Corp., please contact June Rivera-Mantilla at 631-683-7734 or her supervisor Robert Tenenbaum at 631-683-6570.
To change to an NSSF-affiliated credit card processing program, contact Payment Alliance International at 1-866-371-2273 (ext. 1131).
I dont quite understand this, does that mean if I use my Citi card at a gun shop they will not process the transaction?
I'm not sure who is getting cut off here.
I've spent quite a few thousand dollars in the last few months through my Citi card buying firearms, ammunition and other firearms related items. It would be cool if they dont all go through cause I already got the goods.
Calling robert jackass tomorrow.
what morons. so all the companies that sell guns online are breaking the law? riiiiiiiiight
someone needs to call them and set them straight and tape it
right. you buy online and they consider it illegal and will terminate your card and hold tons of money at your expense to pay for outstanding costs
So basically, they disagree with supporting perfectly legal online firearm transactions, and they are cutting merchants loose who deal in that type of business?
Actually, that is not really what I'm reading. This is merchant services, not card services. So they seem to be canceling the processing agreements with the merchants
So they dont seem to be canceling customer cards, they are not honoring the payment to the dealers is what I'm understanding here.
It is confusing though. I may have to call them and find out what is really going on and whats the deal. Either way, its not good, however, with multiple business cards through them, I'm not in the position to simply cancel them. I'll have to find another card with the same services I need. If I do though and they do not change their policy I will not support them if they are the antis they seem to be.
Sounds like a truckload of pussy hurt careening off the faggot bridge into ass-hat bay.
That is the gayest shit ever
Citibank is no longer processing transactions for CDNN. They will need to find a new processing company. This will not effect cardholders whatsoever. Still. Citibank is
Wow, that sucks. Write emails to them
have they never heard of a C&R license?
Stupid from us, or Citi?
Let us know what he says.... This is interesting.
Gay - too bad I have to keep my Citi for just a little longer. One more server install and I get a free Trek

post of the week
Citi is a customer of mine. I work every day in a building owned and operated by them. After seeing how they run the place, I decided I would never do any kind of business with them as an individual customer.
Then they bought my mortgage, I was PISSED
They bought my mortgage as well.
I have a card through them that I don't use anymore, since I got a cabela's card. I just haven't cancelled it yet. I think I'll take this opportunity to do so.
