Traded in my SIG P229R.
yeah don't take a picture of the whole rifle or anything.
oh sweet.....part of a scope
is this some sort of tease?
Ill get some more pics later.
CZ 550 American 6.5x55 Swede
CZ 452 Lux .22 LR
why trade the sig?
To buy the rifle.
i mean why not just save up money
I hate right-handed guns.
j/k. Nice rifles.
I ordered a Noveske N4 Light Recce Basic last week.
i'd rather have the sig
word, not my style.
still nice though.
as long as you're happy
I'm a CZ convert. I also have a 75B SA and next pistol will be a G19 and Dan Wesson Valor if I decide to get a .45 ACP.
You forgot to add that you need to send your SA away for some lovin, or at least get the Comp. Hammer and trigger for it. SOOOOOO much better.
Oh..... and save your monies. I'm working out a deal on getting some SICK grips made for the '75's, that will be hopefully available to the public sometime in the nearer future. You WILL want a pair.
Nice looking rifle, btw.
The last time I checked on the comp hammer, it was at least 4 weeks out. I dont have any more money for trigger work on the 75B.
Anyone have any websites that show you how to correctly mount a scope? I think I have mine mounted too far back.
Nah, I got an email Tuesday saying that they were back in stock.
As far as scope mounting...... what are you doing wrong? Why do you think you have it mounted "too far back"? Mounting distance forward/aft of the triggerguard is largely determined by inherent eye relief "friendliness" of the scope itself.
In short... there is no set distance to judge right/wrong from. It's simply a function of whatever works for you. If your scope is hanging ass end off the back, then in lesser terms, it's likely because it sucks.
That doesn't look as bad as I was thinking.......
As long as you aren't trying to mount rings onto the ocular bell, you are fine.
When you were checking eye relief, were you using the scope on the low end, or the high end of the power range? Think ahead, and make sure you are able to use the scope on the high end.
Also, what did you use to make sure that the crosshairs were leveled?
Nothing is tight yet. I checked eye relief on 3x (should do at max magnification). Crosshairs were eyeballed. I'm going to bring it to a gunsmith to lap the rings and level the crosshairs.
