Other than warranty, are there any other differences?
Canon L telephotos are Grey, not white.
j/k, i think its just the warranty IIRC
i'm not sure if canon usa will even service a grey market lens. i read somewhere once that you have to ship it to an international facility to have it serviced.
^what he said. Other than that, they're pretty much the same....you just have to hope you get a good copy and that it doesn't break.
Ive also read the same thing on POTN. Apparently the guy called Canon to make sure. Anything gray market has to be sent overseas.

I called Canon and was told that it is still covered under the 1 year warranty. Spoke to Canon person in Virginia
Would an authorized place like United Camera in Illinois repair a gray market item or are we only discussing warranty repairs?
