My brother in law buys this trash and then pays some fuckin "gunsmith" in his area to turn them into shit that looks like it's from CoD.

Asked me for a recommendation on a reliable, good first handgun that he and his wife can use for self defense. I recommended and he bought a perfectly good new Gen 5 G19x a few months back. When I asked him how he liked it, he "hadn't shot it yet because it's still at the gun guy's place."

Last weekend he got it back and showed me, got the entire factory FDE body "dipped" in digital camo with a comically flared magwell, some weird chinese sounding branded scalloped and windowed slide with a gold cerakoted swampfox optic on top, the barrel was swapped for some gold coated fluted one, a horribly done stippling on the grip, a bullshit tier light that's shaped a chainsaw hanging off the rail, a literal TRINKET of a bullet hanging off the side, and a gold cerakoted 30 round extended mag. No idea what kind of trigger is in it.

I didn't even want to hold it. I am truly fucking embarrassed, and I'm pretty sure I :ugh2:'d visibly. It's their first and only defensive firearm which is why I recommended a G19x and he immediately turned it into some piece of shit that I GUARANTEE is unreliable.

I am mad just thinking about it enough to type this post. I imagine the gun guy kept the original slide, barrel, and trigger, and charged them an arm and a leg to CoD-ify his Glock.

Now he's talking about how he's so excited for his tax return so he can get an AR-15, and at this point I don't even want to waste the effort helping. Just buy a fuckin Radical Arms whatever and pay your gun dude $2K to fuck it up. I'm sure he'll end up with something like from that pic.

Please post pics for us

Yeah, I'm picking up the AP5-P from the FFL tomorrow. :o
1,000 rounds of 124gr should be here Thursday.
Now I'm torn between picking up the AP5 or a binary trigger for the AP5-P.

So the xm-5 aka xm-7 is already in trouble?

I haven’t followed it but also surprised I hadn’t heard anything about it here or other places I follow
Doesn't surprise me. It's almost like we have a massive european war centered primarily around small unit tactics engaging in everything from grenade range to open fields between peer opponents and equipment, and it turns out fancy-ass rounds aren't really needed. Plenty of people getting smoked with 5.56 and 5.45, even the OG x39 and x51 rounds.

Also probably people looked at the rifle FN has been working on for specops and decided that made alot more sense

I'm not going to be the asshole that takes pics of a family member's stuff to ridicule them on the internet, but here's a rough composite worth the effort I thought this deserved. You get the idea.

Just imagine a dude excitedly running inside to get the "glock he just got back from the gun guy" and bringing this out to a bunch of other guys at a BBQ.

It’s like when I was 16 and went through the ricer phase. The public shaming was necessary and helpful in the long term.

It's that a miniature chainsaw instead of a light. Not gonna lie, that's not a bad idea. You can saw your way through the woods, or an enemy since the gun has roughly a 99% chance of failure.

Did sharps bro buy out spikes? These are the same designs they used to use.
Sharps made them for Spike's back in the day. When they got super successful and popular Sharps wanted to start getting some credit for it in some way or another, Spikes said to pound sand, so Sharps stopped making them for Spikes entirely and we started carrying them instead under Sharps' brand.

Atleast that's how it was told to me by John Sharps.

It was the most ali-express thing I've ever seen

I saw it on mobile and legit thought it was a fucking AA battery olight jb welded to the Glock, complete with bullet keyring
I thought it was a laser.

Chainsaw is so much cooler.
