i think you shouldn't do it.
if it was 10 or 15 years ago, definately do it. today, there are just too many of them.
im going into it ....
what else u guys suggest?
im not going to take comp science... i dont have physics, and it will be a pain in the ass, if i take it agian since i dont know shit about it
project management is where the $$ still is, if you're good at it.
He's right. Project managment is where the cash is right now. But, getting an actual I.S degree would get you there faster than IT managment degree. Sounds funny, but that's the way it works. It works because of experience. Most colleges don't teach much of the technical aspect of IT, more of the managment aspect. Which consists of documentation, roll outs, planning, managment; etc... I strongly suggest, if you want to go into IT, go with a technical degree, get some experience... maybe start off as Tech Support. Study for your certifications and afterwards move up to Network or Sys. admin, then if you want start some managment training. But, once you get your foot into the door and get a few years experience, it is pretty much the waiting game after that. Waiting for that position to be offered.
