saw this the other day, great read.
I remember when they arrested him last year. Poor ReiserFS
Sounds like his wife was a little whore though... And his best friend?
Deus, is that you in the av?
You're damned near as handsome as me and Jolly.
What can I say? There's something wrong with people in California. It's like they live in a goddamned fantasy world where the color of your tan is like, totally the biggest issue ever.
Oh wait. They do live in that fantasy world.
Yes, that's me. My profile has an older pic that just doesn't do my long, luxuriant hair proper justice. Not to mention I'm wearing the faggotiest shiny blue shirt ever.
At least the bike looks good.
Yeah, it does.
Hey, speaking of your bike...
It looks like you have the peddles that lock onto the clip from your bike shoes?
Nope, I don't use SPD pedals.
Those are old pedals anyway. I have these now:
Yeah, you know, I never had any idea just how unusual ReiserFS is. I just hope that the guy put enough commenting into his code that RFS won't die out for lack of anyone who knows how it works.
So I guess that they just don't use the locking peddles on mountain bikes then?
"They" do, but I don't like them. If I've got the choice between being able to pull up on the pedals vs. being able to bail in a split-second, I'll choose being able to bail.
I hear ya. I would probably feel the same way.
I bought a decent road bike, and I was hoping for advice on the peddles.
I don't know whether to try to jump into those locking kinds of peddles or not.
Mainly for the same reason you're mentioning. I want to be able to bail in a split second if I have to.
It's also a pain that you have to buy the special bike shoes for them.
For a road bike, I'd be much less concerned about bailing. It's a lot less likely you'll hit anything that will throw off your balance badly enough that you'll need to bail. As for if you actually fall off, SPD pedals disengage when your feet twist a few degrees, so the bike won't join you in tumbling ass-over-teakettle.
These are really popular. I'd team them with a pair of mountain-bike shoes, so the cleats can be recessed inside the sole of the shoe. No heel-walking necessary.
The only problem for me is getting close to a curb near a light, and maybe not being able to get my foot out in time if I start leaning to the curb side.
If it's just a few degrees that it takes, I guess I could get used to it though.
I saw some good deals on the crank brothers stuff in some of the bike nashbar catalogs.
The only real hangup now is that I am so fucking hard to fit when it comes to shoes.
I have fairly skinny feet, and I wear a size 13.
Get european-brand shoes with zip straps on them. Maybe wear thick socks too.
very well written article. It appears there is compelling evidence against Reiser. However, I do agree that since no murder can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, it would be quite difficult to convict.
European-brand with zip straps?
I don't know anything about those. Can you give me a brand name/model number
that I can look at to get an idea of what's going on?
Yeah, but he is a gamer, and he is antisocial, which of course means he wants to shoot anyone he doesn't like, preferably with a rocket launcher. Right?
All I want to know is what was up with his car. If he's got a good explanation for that, and the drops of blood that were recent enough to not be worn off by rain, then I'll call it reasonable doubt.
Oh, I definitely know this. I know it SO well that you should see my laptop... Allow me to post a picture:
Notice that "Guns don't kill people.... Kids that play video games kill people"
He's guilty. Honestly, he is. But due to the workings of our system -- if be believe in our system -- we must let him go free.
That's the top of your laptop?
That looks pretty damned good.
yes, that's the top.
How did you do that? I can't tell from the pic if that's a printout, or pasted ads.
the base is actually metal paint; I then applied a light red spraypaint coat and sanded most of that down. the rest are bumper stickers, lol.
