I found an amazing tutorial, i think i'm gonna give it a go. Do you have one or did you DIY?
I made one a few weeks ago. I used the DIY tutorial on POTN. Well worth it for lots of fun product and macro shots.
I made mine out of foam core board from Michaels and used double sided velcro to attach everything so that it folds up flat when I'm not using it.
Link to the tutorial?
Have fun, the thread is 209 pages and counting...
Edit: the designs get more advanced as the thread progresses
THat's exactly where i got the idea but i can't find any decent light
Go to Home Depot. I got two 250W work lights for $4.99 each. If you can, get 500W lights. My lights don't provide quite enough light in the box so I have to use a flash bounced off the top of the box.
Oh i'm from the UK, i'll go to some DIY store and see if they got anything.
I made one this past weekend off of Strobist. It's cheesy, but does the job well... lighting is key as always.
Ask jcolman, he even made his own DSLR.
i made one, but was displeased because any pictures you take with it still look amateurish in my opinion. There's no real light shaping capability.
This is the one I did where you cut out the sides of the box to let light in.
I made one last weekend. AC Moore had foam core for 4 bucks for 3 sheets. and wal mart I got 2 lights for like 20 bucks and velcro to hold it together and and it folds up and velcros together when not beign used.
I also got a dowel adn a roll of banner paper at wall mart for like 8 bucks and I can hange the roll inside the lightbox
Sold some boots for the SO, light box looks like shit though
Shit i just use a couple of oldschool shop lamps (basically a switch, clamp, and steel hood) with Reveal bulbs. works great. Went to walmart and picked up a white sheet to use as a backdrop to mask the corners, a quick custom WB shot, and snap away.
Here's some pics of mine:
And product shots:
Oh great guys, nice shots.
