And then had it re-done? :noes: I had mine pierced with a 6ga. It's been out for a few years. I really want to get it re-done, or just buy a taper and re-insert myself. Any suggestions? Comments? Known problems with doing this type of thing?

Just FYI: I'm familiar with stretching and stuff of that nature so I know about inserting a larger bar, etc. So I should be able to do it myself.

I had one that I took out and it 'healed' up. A couple years later I decided I wanted it back - no taper was going to help so I had it repierced.

It sucked and subsequent stretches have been uncomfortable. Hopefully you can get yours back in with a taper.

It's been out for a pretty long time so I'm kinda :noes:. If I have to repierce it then I'm prob not gonna do it.

Get a couple smaller gauge tapers and bars and you should be fine doing it yourself. Nice hot shower and some water based lube will help.

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinkin. I started with a 6 so I'm thinkin like a 12 to start? I only want to go up to an 8 this time I think.

I'd try to get as small a taper as you can to start- unless of course you can see the hole still there in some shape or form.

I mean, I can see the hole. Or at least where the hole used to be. I got a good friend who is a piercing guru so I might go let him look at it. :o

Yep plan for the worst, hope for the best!!

If I may ask- why did you take it out?

Me and my ex (ok just my ex) were having some complications and so we (she) decided that I should take it out for a while... a while turned into a couple years. :wtc:

I took mine out for nearly the same reason. Take it out for what I thought was going to be an hour or so and couldn't get it back in and left it out for a couple years.

Fast forward a few years and I decided to bite the bullet and got the whole thing repierced. I was prepared for the piercing so I wasn't too worried about the pain so I don't know whether or not there were any issues with scar tissue. I can tell you that scar tissue has been an issue while stretching - each stretch has been agonizing. I'm at 8 right now - stretched through 12ga -> 10ga -> 8ga - I'm going for 4

Yeah I was kinda thinking about the scar tissue issue :mamoru: but it's good to know it can still be done. Idk what I'm gonna do really. I got another tattoo in the works to finish my sleeve and then I guess I'll have to make up my mind.

Should have just taken it out for sexual activity and left it at that. I know when the gf or I am getting sore or she is adamant on giving me a long :bj: the PA comes out. Otherwise it stays in.

I thought about that but for some reason I always had a hard time with getting in in/out. :sad2: So it just kinda went down that way.
