I'm still very much a noobert when it comes to working out. I was playing around witht the different training modes on the elytical at Gold's and figured I'd try the fat burning mode. It tells me to keep my heart rate around 130-140. My question is, why so low? I know there is an explanation, but naturally I would think that the faster your heart rate is, the more fat you burn. Obviously this isn't the case. Could someone tell me why I should keeo my heart rate down that low to burn fat better rather than having a faster heart rate?
