My girlfriend is interested in losing weight, who would've guessed. Shes 5'10" and weighs 150lbs. She claims she counts her calories, but I ask her how many shes had the on day and she sits there trying to count them up. Either way I'd like to help her achieve her goal. Whats the best way to get her to start. She does cardio everyday of the week and then throws in abs or something stupid. I've seen her doing db press too. Either way should I just tell her to count her calories or to do a 40%/30/20 with her protein fat carbs. I doubt she knows her maintenance caloric intake. Whats the best way to approach this? Get her to find her maintenance level and then have her eat under that? She assumes the less she eats IE 1200 calories a day the better.
