So I have been running on the elliptical after my workouts...and the gym at my school doesn't have an 'interval' setting on the elliptical. I set the machine at manual and at the '1' speed out of 25. What I usually do is: 1. warm up at about 4-5 speed for 2 minutes. 2. sprint at 12 speed for 1 minute. 3. walk at 4-5 speed for 1 minute. 4. repeat steps 2 and 3 until I reach 20 minutes. The machine usually says I burn around 250-275 calories...whereas I see other people burning the same amount just by doing incline and 6.5 speed. Is it worth it to just switch to incline at a moderate speed or continue to do HIIT?
