ART Hmmm... Worthwhile to trade an 85 1.8 for a 135 2.8?

I feel like my 85mm comes up a bit short sometimes.. Should I trade it for a 135 2.8 or should I pick up a 2x TC.

Does tamron make a decent TC?

What camera - can it "safely" go high ISO to compensate for a slower lens?

And also, how big do you need your final images to be? Because if you have enough megapickles you can easily just crop 85 to 135 equivalent if 85 isn't long enough.

It'll work terribly on your 85, and you will lose two stops of light, making it even slower than the 135 f/2.8 you were looking at.

135L is really the only solution for you. Or just crop more. I guess there is also the 100 f/2 but that is hardly longer than 85mm.

Teleconvertor costs you 2 stops and makes the AF worse... at that rate you might as well get a 70-300 4-5.6 or something
