I need a plate amp for a Shiva. Budget is 175-250. Any ideas?
Ive used the above amp in several projects and it works great. Its part number 300-794 if the link doesnt work for you.
So its pretty good?
I guess thats what I'm going with then
I've heard some good things about the ones from Creative Sound by people who bought from them when I was in Vancouver
Canadian site so those American prices may be a bit high
are you dead set on palte amps you can get a rack mount dj amp with more power for around that price you will need some sort of crossover and a little more space but im happy with mine
True, but I dont know of many good prosound amps for less than 250 dollars. If anything, Id reccomend he get the Behringer ep1500 for 300 dollars, and it does around 1400w constant into 4ohms bridged. Plenty of power should he want to upgrade in the future.
they are selling factory direct cronws right now on ebay for pretty cheap he may have to do a little shopping but its easily doable
mine is a ce works just fine for a home sub
That ep1500 looks enticing
It could last me a long time...
If you were feeling really crazy, you could spend an extra 80 or so and get the ep2500 which does around 2400w into 4ohms bridged. I have it and its a beast.
I'd be thrown out of the house :hammer:
I might spring for the tempest though
